The short version: Dreamforce ’26 closed today, and almost nothing announced on the main stage is something you can turn on this afternoon. Seven agents are GA. The headline product, AIforce, ships through a Claude plugin that is in beta. Koa, the CRM reasoning model, is pilot-only with general availability quoted as winter 2026. The single most useful thing you can do this week is write down which bucket each announcement falls into, because the keynote deliberately did not.
The status table, as of 17 September 2026
Dates and statuses below come from Salesforce’s own press releases, not from the stage. Where the two disagree, the press release is the one with a legal department attached.
| Announcement | What it is | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Casey, Paige, Carter, Marshall, Piper, Fin | Prebuilt agents for help, IT/HR, shopping, supply chain, inbound pipe gen, customer service | GA |
| Hunter | Outbound sales agent | Pilot; GA quoted November 2026 |
| Agentforce Coworker | AI teammate inside Lightning | Available to customers now |
| AIforce | Interface layer exposing org data and logic to outside AI clients | Announced; ships via its components |
| Salesforce in Claude (Claudeforce) | Prebuilt MCP server, 37 sales skills | Select pilots; open beta quoted September 2026 |
| Koa | CRM reasoning model on NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super | Select pilot; GA quoted winter 2026, US regions |
| Gemini in the Agentforce Reasoning Engine | Google models behind Agentforce and Prompt Builder | Available now |
| Salesforce Federated Connector | Query external data without copying it | GA quoted late October 2026 |
| Hyperforce on Google Cloud | Salesforce running on Google infrastructure | NA GA quoted November 2026; Germany 2027 |
Three of those rows are things you can use. The rest are things you can plan around, and the distinction is worth more than any feature summary.
The agents are GA, which makes them the only thing with a real decision attached
Salesforce named seven job-ready agents on 11 September. Six are generally available today. Hunter, the outbound sales agent, is pilot with November quoted for GA.
These are packaged agents rather than a new capability. You could have built Casey out of Agentforce Service Agent already. What you are buying is somebody else’s topic and action design, which is genuinely most of the work — and also the part that encodes assumptions about your process that may not hold.
The adoption figures are vendor-reported and worth reading precisely. Fin is described as resolving 79% of Anthropic’s conversations autonomously. Piper is credited with 4x the conversation volume at Asana. Neither states a denominator, and “resolved” is doing a lot of work: every containment metric can be improved by making the agent harder to escape.
Adopt one the way you would any agent: one use case, one small audience, somebody reading transcripts daily. The rollout discipline matters more when the agent came prebuilt, not less — you did not write the instructions, so you do not know where they are thin.
AIforce is the actual news, and it is an architecture change
Strip the branding and AIforce is one idea: your org stops being a place people log into and becomes a service that outside AI clients call. Salesforce describes it as a live interface layer carrying data, workflows, business logic, permissions and governance out to whatever interface someone works in, running on what it calls the Headless Toolkit — MCP servers, APIs, plug-ins and skills.
The governance claim is the part to scrutinise: data is said to run under existing permissions and business rules, with zero data retention at the model provider. If that holds, the security review is smaller than it looks, because the answer to “what can this see” is “whatever that user could already see”. What it changes in practice is the subject of AIforce and Claudeforce.
I have not tested this, and neither has anybody else outside the pilot. That is the honest state of it on day three.
Koa is a bet you cannot evaluate yet
Koa is a reasoning model built on NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super and post-trained on a synthetic dataset Salesforce derived from its own deployment history across more than 14 industries. Salesforce says no customer data was used in training, that it holds the weights, and that post-training and inference both run on its own infrastructure.
The headline number, matching or beating leading models on CRM actions with three times fewer errors, comes from a Salesforce benchmark of Salesforce tasks. Not a disqualifier, just a figure to hold lightly until someone outside Salesforce runs it. Ask for the benchmark definition before you quote it to an executive.
Pilot now, GA quoted for winter 2026 in US regions. If you are outside the US, this is a 2027 conversation.
The infrastructure announcements have the dates that will actually hit your calendar
Hyperforce on Google Cloud is the one to put in a calendar rather than a strategy deck. Salesforce says it is already carrying production traffic, with customer migrations starting in Q4 2026 for North America and Germany following in 2027. The Salesforce Federated Connector is quoted GA for late October 2026, and Data 360’s zero-copy sharing with BigQuery expands to more regions this autumn, moving to Iceberg REST Catalog standards.
If you have data residency commitments in customer contracts, the Hyperforce expansion is the one that touches them — a legal and procurement question with a long lead time, better raised now than when a migration window is offered to you.
What I would do in the next two weeks
Not much, deliberately. Three things:
- Write the status table above into your own planning doc, with your own “so what” column. The single biggest cost of a Dreamforce is a leadership team that heard nine product names and cannot tell which three exist.
- Decide who in your org is allowed to connect an outside AI client to it. AIforce makes that a real permission question rather than a hypothetical one, and it is better decided before somebody installs a plugin than after. Start from your Agentforce permissions review.
- If you want one GA agent, pick one. Not three. The constraint is the transcript reading, not the licence.
What I would not do yet
Do not rebuild anything for AIforce. Do not budget for Koa. Do not let a keynote slide reopen a settled architecture decision, because roughly half of what was shown today will look different by the time it is generally available, and the half that ships late is usually the half that was most impressive on stage.
And keep this separate from a release. Dreamforce is an announcement event. The things that break your org arrive in the release notes and on your Release Updates page, where the deadlines with no opt-out live. Nothing announced this week has a deadline attached, which is why working a release properly is still the higher-value week.
The keynote argument behind all of this, and where it contradicts itself, is covered in the keynote notes.
Frequently asked
Does any of this change my Winter ’27 upgrade? No. Dreamforce announcements and the release train are separate. Your upgrade date is on Salesforce Trust and is unaffected by anything announced this week.
Is Agentforce Coworker something I have to enable? Salesforce describes it as available to customers now and reports 100,000 users activated in 35 days. Treat “available” as a governance trigger rather than a feature you have adopted. Check who can use it before deciding whether you have a position on it.
Do I need Claude to use AIforce? No. Claudeforce is one component. Slackforce and Agentforce Coworker are the others, and the underlying toolkit is MCP and APIs, which is not vendor-specific by design.
How much does any of it cost? Unstated. Every announcement this week carried a “pricing and packaging are subject to change” line. If a budget conversation is being had on the strength of a keynote, that line is the one to put in front of it, along with the consumption model you are already on.
Should I trust the customer numbers? As directionally real, and no further. The Siemens, Live Nation, Adecco and TSA deployments were announced with Salesforce’s framing and Salesforce’s metrics. They tell you the product works somewhere, and nothing about whether it works for your process.
